Henry vs the 3rd grade

 I like typing club because I like learning to type. I like how it challenges you.

 I do gymnastics every week and I am practicing doing a back flip. I am really close to doing it all by myself. Coach Curtis helps me get my knees up and keep my balance. It is a lot of fun.    

I watched a Brain Pop video about camouflage. I learned that Arctic Foxes, Wolves, and Rabbits wear brown coats in the summer so they can blend into the forest. In the winter they get light colored coats to blend in with the snow. this is called camouflage and it helps them to find their prey. Some animals like chameleons use camouflage to tell when they are angry or happy. when they are mad they turn yellow and grey. when they are happy they turn green. 

 PLG : ECONOMICS I learned about Wants and Needs from a Brain Pop video. Needs are something that you need to live, wants are something that you'd like to have but wont wont keep you alive. Moby wanted a pony, but he didn't need it. At the end of the video the girl told Moby to get a present for her grandpa. Moby suggested a pony. it was pretty funny.

PLG : FOUNDATIONS OF MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION I am learning about combining groups of the same number a lot of times to figure out multiplying if I have a group pf five fruits seven different times its the same as five times seven because its a grop of five but seven times in a row. its hard to explain.

 PLG : ENGLISH USAGE O and A together make the long O sound in words.

 PLG : Global Perspectives The Celts were the first people to celebrate Halloween, but they called it Samhain. They believed that ghosts would come and eat their crops. They left out food to keep the ghosts happy. The holiday All souls day was November 2nd for people to honor the dead. November 1st was all Hallows eve where people honored the saints. People combined All hallows eve and Samhain together a little bit. Then people changed all hallows eve to Halloween to make it shorter. I think that Halloween is very fun. I like that I get to dress up and collect candy. but I don't like that my doesn't let me eat all my candy all at once!!!

 PLG : Place Value I am learning about place value from ones all the way up to ten thousands.

 PLG : Read / listen to various literature I've been listening to Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone audiobook. At first Harry thought he was a muggle. Then a lot of letters came telling him he was a wizard and that he was invited to Hogwarts. He was living with his aunt and uncle and cousin the Dursleys. They were very mean to Harry, and his uncle went crazy when too many letters were coming. Finally they left to a place on an island where they wouldn't get any mail, but then one night they heard a big knock on the door. Then Hagrid came and broke down the door and delivered a slightly smooshed cake to Harry. Next thing you know Harry Potter was going to Hogwarts! At Hogwarts Harry got put into Gryffindor  and met his friend Ron. When they were at the cafeteria they were surprised when all the owls came rushing ina boy named Nevil got a remembral. He dropped it during flight class and had to go to the nurse. Then a mean boy named Malfoy took the remembral. Harry Potter ...
