Henry vs the 3rd grade

 PLG : Earth and Space Science When the earth and moon move around the sun we see the moon in deffent shapes. The moon stays a sphere, but it gets covered by shadows that make up the moon cycle.

 PLG : Geography I learned about reading maps. I like that star on a map means a state capital. I like that maps help us to find our way. maps are very important so you don't get lost.

 PLG : Perimeter  I learned that we find the perimeter by adding up all the sides and counting how long they are.

 PLG : Writing I wrote about going on a field trip to a pumpkin patch, I had a really good time.

PLG:  Life Science   I watched a documentary today about sea lions and learned a few new things. All the sea lions look alike so it's hard for a baby sea lion is theirs. The way they remember it is they know their moms voice and smell. Touching their noses begins their bonding and they stay side by side for weeks. Baby sea lions can find their feet when they are only three hours old! I think sea lions are unique and I want to go see them in person!
