Henry vs the 3rd grade

 I am practicing fractions.

 I am learning about different types of sentences and I did a worksheet and sorted statements, questions and commands.

 I go over spelling words with my mom.

 I read the 8th splatoon graphic novel and gave an oral book report on it.

When Helen Keller was born she got sick and lost her sight and hearing. She learned how to read braille. She learned how to read sign language with her hands. If I was blind and deaf life would be really hard. I would try really hard so I could be like Helen Keller. I’m glad I’m not blind.

  Alexander Graham Bell invented an invention that separated the wheat from the husk when he was a kid. His mother was was deaf and his dad taught deaf students. When he was older he taught deaf students too. He even taught Helen Keller. She was Blind AND deaf.

 A budget is a plan to keep and save or spend money. I have a budget with my brother. We are saving up to buy things that we want. We have some video games and other fun things. It’s not fun saving money, but we like it when our savings gets bigger. Its really exciting to put more money in our savings box.

 I learned that there are over 6 billion people on earth and some people call it the blue planet because of how much water there is.

 I learned that the hard drive stores information for the computer. Also a mouse is how you select things on a computer

I learned that the sun is a star. I learned that you need to wear sunscreen or else you’ll get sunburned.  

 I am working on my vocabulary words.

 I’m practicing multiplication and division

 I am learning about landforms and geography. Did you know that geo means earth?

 

 I am practicing the four operations. The four operations are adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. I’m learning about variables. To find out what a variable is you have to add subtract multiply and divide on both sides of the equal sign until the only thing left is the variable and what it equals.
